The Unseen Challenges
It is true that orphans in rural parts of Kogi State face unique challenges peculiar only to orphans and the less privileged in our societies. These challenges ranges from lack of food, befitting accommodation, lack of good healthcare or the means to afford it, the lack of educational infrastructure, limited access to resources, lack of parental love and care, and the absence of support systems that compound their already difficult circumstances. The adverse impact of these challenges on their overall well-being and future prospects cannot be overemphasized.
Education as the Gateway
Education is a powerful catalyst for change. Prophetic Worship Ministries is committed to providing quality education to orphans in rural Kogi State of Nigeria by partnering with Foundation Nursery and Primary School based in Ankpa, Kogi State as a mission school that provides scholarships for orphans who attend this school all through their elementary school year. Our holistic approach goes beyond academics to include character development, vocational training, and life skills that equip these children to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Building Educational Infrastructure
Prophetic Worship Ministries will use the funds raised yearly to build and improve educational infrastructure in these underserved areas. This includes the building of additional classroom structures, libraries, and computer labs to create a nurturing learning environment for orphans. In addition to the above, parts of these funds will be used to ensure that teachers and volunteers are well compensated to teach the orphans in a comfortable environment. We strongly believe that these facilities will have a transformative impact on the community as a whole.
Empowering Orphaned Lives
Education alone is not enough; support and empowerment are equally crucial. Hence, we have come up with a plan to pay for the services of professional guidance and counseling specialists, who will provide mentorship, counseling, and emotional support to orphans. Over the past 4 years, with our little effort in providing financial support to an Elementary School in Kogi State, we have seen constant positive growth and success. It is our belief and faith that this comprehensive approach will continue to help these children overcome adversity and realize their full potential as they grow past elementary education to high school, college or learn a craft that will set them apart in the future as adults that will become change agents in the society.
